Well, we didn’t think it could get much better than 2016, but then 2017 came along! We have had some amazing Kitchen, Bathroom & Bedroom projects throughout 2017! It’s been an extremely busy and successful year for Harris Interiors, and so we thought we would share some of our favourite projects from throughout 2017!
We will be closing on Friday 22nd December for a well-earned break and will reopen on Tuesday 2nd January 2018!
2018 will be a very busy year for Harris Interiors, and we are really looking forward to all the new projects 2018 will bring, delivering those dream projects for customers old and new!
We would like to thank all our customers for their business throughout 2017, those customers who have come back to us with more projects and all our new customers, many of which came to us via a recommendation from other customers!
Here are three of our favourite projects from 2017…
3. Glenn & Ron – Kitchen and Bathroom transformation!
Their current kitchen was very dated, extremely tight on space and had no worktop area. They wanted a clean, simplistic and modern design, and to mirror that design with the bathroom project too.
To create a really large Kitchen and utility area.
So we got to work by knocking down two walls, one between the kitchen/diner and one between the kitchen, and utility making it into a huge living kitchen area.
We used White Kitchen Units and white chip quartz worktops, light grey gloss J handle doors and colour changing LED lighting under the wall units and on the plinth. The glass splashback was custom coloured and made to measure. We included a stunning breakfast bar with spotlights throughout, and a gorgeous pendant light fitting, over the dining area for more ambient lighting.
We used Bosch appliances throughout ensuring the very best quality, including a brand new Worcester Bosch Combi Boiler and also installed a brand new radiator in the kitchen.
The end result was truly stunning and Glenn and Ron were absolutely thrilled.
This required a complete layout change but the customer wanted to keep it clean and simplistic.
We set to work on the layout. We wanted the designs to mirror each other for continuity. The ensuite bathroom was a complete layout change. We added a large shower enclosure with a dual head shower.
We included a mirrored cabinet with Bluetooth and a large unit for storage.
The end result was clean, simplistic and modern, keeping in line with the other design.
2. Mr & Mrs. Cunningham – The Yellow Kitchen Project!
What a stunning room we created for Mr & Mrs. Cunningham!
Remodel the kitchen, incorporate some of the existing appliances, and “we like yellow!”. Our Designers set to work.
Limited room size meant we needed to be smart in maximising every opportunity to create storage opportunities yet still create a light, airy feel.
White, handle-less units are ideal for this – they create modern sleek lines and accentuate distance. Coupled with this, we used extra tall wall units wherever possible to create extra storage space and ran units over the American style fridge/freezer and around the false beam.
To create even more space, we knocked into a redundant chimney-breast and incorporated white shelving which allowed display of ‘knick-knacks’ whilst keeping the clean lines of the kitchen.
We ran a granite-look laminate worktop around the kitchen, creating a breakfast bar seating area and this was complemented by a co-ordinated carbon coloured 1 ½ bowl sink, then the whole look was set off perfectly with yellow glass splashbacks and concealed LED lighting.
We installed Bosch appliances in the kitchen and, as there was no room for a wall mounted radiator, we incorporated a plinth heater – connected to the central heating.
We tiled the floor and the kitchen was complete!
All in all – we improved layout and space and reduced clutter, and we created a stunning yellow kitchen without actually installing a yellow kitchen!
1. Mr & Mrs. McDonagh’s Truly Stunning Bathroom Project
Our number one project is Mr. and Mrs. MacDonagh’s beautiful traditional new bathroom at their home in Calverley, Leeds.
Mr. and Mrs. MacDonagh came to us looking for a complete bathroom redesign. Their current bathroom had been badly installed and due to this had caused problems with leaks. The current layout was also very poor and wasn’t making the most of their space.
With the knowledge that they wanted a traditional style, freestanding bath but were open to our ideas on the redesign, we set to work on creating their dream bathroom.
Our ideas were simple but made a huge difference! We rebuilt the boiler cupboard to make it smaller and create more space to incorporate a beautiful Burlington Harewood Freestanding Bath with classic chrome legs and an Aqualisa Dream shower/wet room with a Kudos shower screen.
Using the classically styled Burlington Trafalgar radiator, which doubles up as a towel rail, Burlington Edwardian Basin, Burlington Birkenhead Basin Mixer Taps, and Burlington toilet, gave the bathroom a beautiful traditional look along with British ceramic floor tiles in walnut from the fabulous porcelain range.
LED downlights were fitted to give the bathroom a natural light, fitting in well with the traditional theme.
Once again thank you to all our customers! We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
